The Church of The Living God has been more than a place of worship; it has served as a beacon of hope and transformation. The story of TCOTLG Community Outreach & Services began with the profound desire of our church to make a positive impact on the lives of those in our community. We firmly believe that worship is not confined to a Sunday service, but can be expressed in everything we do. Our faith is deeply rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ, emphasizing the principle of doing unto others as we would have them do unto us. It is this belief that has driven us to create TCOTLG Community Outreach & Services, a testament to our commitment to helping others.

Our Story

The Church of The Living God The Pillar & Ground of The Truth (TCOTLG) is a congregation in Leland, Mississippi, that has a rich history of combining its faith-based mission with a commitment to community service. It was founded in 2019 with a passion for helping others and a strong desire to address the needs in the community. TCOTLG established a nonprofit organization called TCOTLG Community Outreach & Services to provide financial, medical, educational and nutritional support to the community. The church has become more than a place of worship, emphasizing worship through actions and the teachings of Jesus Christ. TCOTLG is rooted in faith and seeks to create a welcoming and inclusive community, believing in the importance of doing unto others as they would have them do unto them. Through a variety of programs and initiatives, TCOTLG continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those it serves and embodies the principle that "it is always better to give than receive, for God loves a cheerful giver."

The mission of TCOTLG Community Outreach & Services is clear: to passionately serve the communities of Washington, Sunflower, and Bolivar Counties. We are driven by the belief that there should be no divisions among us, regardless of denomination, background, or socio-economic status, for there is no partiality in God. Our nonprofit is the embodiment of this mission. Through its three branches - Youth Development, Workforce Development, and Healthy & Active Living - we cater to the needs of our diverse community.

Within these three branches, we offer an array of programs designed to educate and empower our community members. Whether it's providing after-school and summer feeding programs, tutoring, mentorship, or adult-focused workforce initiatives like CDL programs, driver license classes, culinary courses, and more, we equip our participants with the essential tools to thrive in this world. Our commitment to financial literacy underscores our dedication to building generational wealth and empowering our community members.
